WHY YOU NEED TO RUN YOUR CAR ON WATER  by

 Fred Jay
6/21/2008 at 18:41
The news about running a car using water has been widely spread out and was easily absorbed like water on a sponge. Perhaps because of the growing number of people concerned about the increase in price of oil in the market that disarms their purpose for a budget. The idea itself is too good to be true upon being heard about it for the first time. Since probably only a small number of people are unaware of the fact, there are actually some reasons why running a car with water is an option to take these days.

First up is that is saves money. The prices in the oil market today have no plans of getting cheaper. Since water is can be somewhat found anywhere and can be for free, it reduces that amount of gas paid for. With this concept of running a car with water allows the reconstruction of budgeting for everyday expenses.

Since the greenhouse effect is not a new environmental issue, running cars with water reduces harmful emissions as compared to having just gas loaded in the car. It does not completely eliminate harmful emissions but still there is a drastic trimming down on the amount of pollution to be spread in the air.

Not only does running a car with water an environment saver, it also is an engine saver. Having the water elements mixed with any gasoline, it lessens the production of heat. Instead a cooler emission is produced allowing better engine performance and also better mileage ...

HYDROXY GAS VS HIGH OCTANE - WHICH HAS MORE MPG?  by

 Brandon Mchale
6/21/2008 at 18:40
How Hydroxy Gas Stacks Up To High Octane

Comparing hydroxy gas to high octane isn’t really fair. Higher octane fuels will increase miles per gallon and give your engine a more efficient burn, this is how premium or supreme gasoline reduces pinging. Even though high octane increases miles per gallon, reduces emissions and stops engine pinging, it can’t even come close to hydroxy gas.The comparison is undoubtedly clear in the end. The end being the most miles per gallon gained and the benefits to your engine. Hydroxy gas is a clear winner, here’s why.

The Secret Is In The Burn

Fuel molecules like to stick together, even after the combustion cycle a lot of these molecules go unused and are reduced by your catalytic converter. Hydroxy gas introduces a hydrogen oxygen mixture to your fuel. This mixture creates a smoother more controlled burn and utilizes those otherwise unused molecules. A higher burn rate and more controlled burn will utilize more of those sticky fuel molecules. This is why higher octane and fuel additives work. Fuel additives and higher octane gas assist in the combustion cycle to achieve a more efficient burn of fuel, but hydroxy gas beats their results, and there are added benefits too.

The Benefits Hydroxy Gas Has Over High Octane

Along with additional mileage hydroxy gas gives you several other benefits that prolong the lifespan of your engine. You’ll immediately notice a smoother cooler running engine. The smoother idle is due to the efficiency of the fuel and the cooler flame is ...

GET BETTER GAS MILEAGE BY LEARNING FROM HYPERMILERS  by

 Gina E Clark
6/21/2008 at 18:39
Hypermilers are people who consciously drive to get better gas mileage. They do not buy new vehicles, but instead change the way that they drive to improve gas mileage. Here are some ways you can become a hypermiler and save gas.

One way to improve gas mileage is by removing anything unnecessary from your vehicle. The lighter your vehicle is, the more gas you will save. Also, if you have a roof rack that you do not use, take it off of your vehicle. (Remember, though, that in the winter, vehicles are less likely to slide in poor weather when they are heavier.)

Hypermilers recommend not stopping as much as possible in stop and go traffic to save gas. They encourage leaving a big space in front of your vehicle that allows it to roll continuously instead of stopping.

Another way to get better gas mileage is when you park. Instead of driving around a parking lot looking for the best place, improve gas mileage by pulling into the first available space you see and walking from there. Also, if possible, pull into a spot and pull through to the following adjacent parking spot directly in front of you, so that you avoid backing up, and can leave by pulling forward to save gas.

To get better gas mileage, hypermilers encourage drivers to tailgate 18-wheelers. This decreases the wind resistance to vehicles.

For vehicles manufactured in 1997 or later, get a gauge that tells you how many miles per gallon your vehicle is getting as ...

BIODIESEL FACTS  by

 D. J. James
6/21/2008 at 18:39
With gas and diesel fuels ever increasing in price and the damage being done by fossil fuels in our environment biodiesel has become a rather popular subject. Since it is not difficult to find bogus information on biodiesel on the internet I thought I would give some facts concerning biodiesel.

* The first Biodiesel fact is called transesterification. This is simply a big name for the process of turning vegetable oil into Biodiesel. It is almost harder to spel the name than it is to make Biodiesel.
* Biodiesel fact number two is that Biodiesel is a much cleaner burning fuels than diesel fossil fuel. Therefore less damage to our environment with safer emission leaving the tailpipe.
* The third Biodiesel fact is that Biodiesel is a processed fuel and most diesel engines need no modification to use it. Therefore Biodiesel is a wise choice for use in your diesel truck or car. It also lubricates better than fossil fuel and has been known to have less vehicle maintenance than regular petroleum based diesel.
* Biodiesel fact number four is that the only byproduct in the manufacturing of Biodiesel is the glycerines that are separated from the vegetable oil during the processing. It is being successfully tested to see if the byproduct can be used for animal feed which will eventually leave no end waste except manure which is then recycled as fertilizer. Seems to be a win/win ...

RACING AUTO PARTS AND YOUR CAR  by

 Victor Epand
6/21/2008 at 18:38
When you are looking at a race car, you may not think about what is under the hood. You should because these auto parts are what make it go fast and win the race.

There are many things that you should think about when you are looking for the parts for your race car. You have to think about the quality as well as the way that you will get the parts to go with you when you are going to the races.

Getting your parts are not so hard. You really just need to have a few places in your head that will give you these places and that will help you with your parts needs. The first place that you will need to look for auto parts is at the auto parts stores. This is because they will have the basics that you will need for a good price. If they don’t have what you need then you can have it ordered from the warehouse and shipped to the store that you are dealing with.

You can also look on the Internet because of the presence of auto parts that are made for performance and speed. These places usually have competitive pricing but you may not like the shipping rates that are with these online auto parts stores. This is the downside to ordering on the Internet as well as any other time that you may end up ordering your auto parts for your race car.

Once you get your auto parts, ...

POWER PROBE 3  by

 Jason Miller
1/26/2008 at 13:56
The Power Probe 3 is the latest iteration of one of the most popular automotive tools on the market. What started out as a basic circuit tester, and won fans for its simple to use design and rock solid reliability has become one of the most advanced products of its type that is currently available, and now includes a number of additional features that will make it even more useful than ever before.

While the original Power Probe I, which is still available, was intended to simply offer auto engineers the ability to check whether circuits were live, and determine what the current flow through the system was, the all new Power Probe 3 takes its functionality to a whole new level, and includes plenty of additional features to make it even more indispensable to a modern auto workshop.

The most immediately obvious addition to the Power Probe design is the presence of an LCD screen on the device. This is where the Power Probe 3 displays voltage. For the first time, rather than simply indicating whether there is electricity present in a circuit, the Power Probe 3 now tells you exactly what the power in the circuit is. This means that you no longer need to use a digital multi meter in conjunction with your Power Probe when assessing the circuit strength in a car while it is being repaired.

Another feature that has been built into the Power Probe 3 is a flashlight. With this high intensity beam of light, which ...

DEFENSIVE DRIVING LESSON PLANS   by

 Jonathan Andrew
1/26/2008 at 13:55
No matter which defensive driving course you choose, defensive driving lesson plans vary little from state to state. All secured driving plans are designed with one purpose in mind, and that is to teach drivers how to avoid becoming involved in accidents.

All safe driving lissons will include classes on how to anticipate trouble before it starts by observing traffic patterns, recognizing warning signs, and knowing the defensive driving techniques to employ to prevent accidents instead of having to react to them.

Pay Attention!

A lapse of attention is the single largest cause of accidents, and in particular those accidents which involve drivers not far form their own homes. Drivers who are traveling on familiar roads often relax their attention more than they should. defensive auto driving plans however, stress the importance of drivers maintaining complete focus on both their own driving and the surrounding traffic and potentially dangerous road conditions or hazards.

To simply understand and heed the rules of the road regarding right of way is often not adequate to prevent an accident from occurring. Safe Lessons for driving will always recommend that it is safer to yield the right of way in an uncertain situation than to issue a challenge.

You’re The Only Sane One Out There

You can never be certain about the driving abilities or mindset of any of the other drivers with whom you are sharing a roadway. Driving tips will include instructions on how to develop the philosophy that you are the only person driving that stretch of road ...

IMPROVE YOUR GAS MILEAGE BY CHANGING THE WAY YOU PARK  by

 Scott Siegel
1/26/2008 at 13:54
You can improve your gas mileage just by changing the way you park your car. It is one of the many easy and simple things you can do to increase your fuel mileage.

Is this what you do when enter a parking lot? You enter the lot and the first thing you do is head for the parking area nearest to the entrance to the mall or the store where you are going. There are not any spaces available at the entrance because everyone, like you, tries to find the closest spaces.

Since you did not find any spaces initially you drive up and down the closest rows to see if you can find a parking place that is reasonably close to the entrance or you sit in one place and wait for a parking space to open up.

These parking behaviors will cost you gas mileage. That also means it will cost you money. When you wait to see if any parking spaces will become available you are sitting and idling your engine. When you idle, you are getting zero miles per gallon. Zero miles per gallon is the worst fuel economy you can get.

Alternatively if you are slowly cruising along the parking rows still hoping to find a close spot, you are burning fuel at a tremendous rate relative to the speed you are going. Inevitably you have to stop behind another car that is waiting or you stop at spaces that you think are opening up. Once again this causes ...

TOP 10 THINGS TO KEEP IN THE CAR IN CASE OF AN EMERGENCY  by

 Amy Nutt
1/26/2008 at 13:54
Driving at any time of the year can be dangerous, but it is especially important to be careful driving in the winter. Winter driving can bring the hazards of snow, ice, freezing rain, sleet, blackouts, whiteouts, and much more. If your car breaks down at any other time of year, you’ve still got a good chance of being able to take care of it yourself. However, in the winter, the days are shorter, the weather is colder and it is not at all comfortable to break down in a snowstorm! There are also more ways to break down in the winter; not only can your car run out of gas, but it can also get stuck in the snow.

If you are starting to panic, just relax; there are some things you can do to prepare for car emergencies. Here the top ten items to keep in your car in case of an emergency:

Snow shovel - You never know when you’ll get stuck in the snow, and you also never know if a good Samaritan will be around when you get stuck. Even in the summertime, cars can get stuck in the mud, and a shovel would still help in that situation.

Candle - Even though a candle may be a lot smaller than a car, it can still keep you and your car warm in the winter if you happen to break down or get stuck in a snow bank.

Blanket - If you ever break down in the winter, a blanket ...

CORSA CAPITAL AT VAUXHALL DEALERS IN LONDON  by

 Gareth Jones
1/26/2008 at 13:53
London is chock-full of unique landmarks and Vauxhall have added another. No not an addition to Saint Peter’s Heritage Centre, I’m on about a four wheeled Vauxhall, in this case the Corsa Capital. Only by visiting a London Vauxhall dealer will you be able to pick one up, as Vauxhall aims to show its city car can take on the biggest conurbation in Britain. To help you deal with not only the congestion, but the charge that goes with it, Vauxhall are enticing Londoners to the Capital - pun intended, with (deep breath): 15" alloy wheels, a CD player that’s MP3 ready, rear spoiler, body coloured bumpers, electric front windows and air conditioning to name but a few, for only a slight price hike over the standard model.

Of course the Capital is just one derivative of the all-new Corsa range and the new cars find themselves in the middle of the most competitive sector of motoring - the hatchback. Crucially then, the new Corsa must score highly in likeability, drivability and price (ability?). With Vauxhall dealers pitching the Corsa range directly at big rivals Ford and Volkswagen it has to be very good indeed to become the market leader. Those cutesy little fellas in the advert seem to be having fun mind - but you can’t trust cuddly fabric, so crucially how is it to drive and how does it look in the flesh?

As I am still the new boy when it comes to road testing cars, I am faced ...

HOW TO FIND THE BEST QUALITY CAR SHOWS FOR THE NEWEST MODELS  by

 Gregg Hall
1/26/2008 at 13:52
If you don’t like huge car shows with a lot of cars then that may be something that you are not interested in. If so, you may want to just go to the make car shows where they show off the newest models of cars that have just came off the production line.

These types of shows are often pretty good because you are getting to see brand new cars that nobody else has even seen yet or drove. You are the first person to see cars that have just came off the production line. Most of these cars are the newest models that have been talked about for months and have finally came out.

Sometimes these events are open to the public and other times they are just for the press and so the newspaper can get to know about them first. Other times you are allowed to come and gander at all the cars and the new models are just something to look at and have fun with. You will be able to look in and see what they look like so if you were thinking about buying one you will to see first hand what they look like inside and out.

These types of car shows are going to be different then you are probably used to. You are going to be used to seeing a lot of cars and a lot of variety but not here at the special car shows you will be lucky to get an invite. ...

HOW MUCH DO CAR REPAIRS REALLY COST YOU?  by

 Andrew Regan
1/26/2008 at 13:49
We all have problems making ends meet from time to time, but if it’s a constant worry it could be time to take a long hard look at your money situation.

The biggest area for making changes is often in the everyday expenses incurred by getting to and from your place of work. Sometimes the best way to get to your job is by driving there, but this does of course cause plenty of wear and tear on your vehicle.

Over time this will cause problems as parts wear out and need to be replaced, but even if the time for getting a new car is getting closer you might be tempted to keep repairing your current model when you start thinking about the cost of replacing it. You should always consider all your options however. When you add up the cost of repairs over time, you may well find you’d actually save money by getting a new car.

First of all, sit down and look at where your money goes each month to see where you could make savings. By cutting down in certain areas you will often find you have enough cash left over to get a car finance deal on another car. You wouldn’t be paying out for frequent repairs any more, and depending on the make and model you buy, you might find your car insurance may well be cheaper too, which will save you even more money.

As with any finance deal it’s important to think of the long ...
